The apparent absence of this basic feature makes me wonder if the original version of AoEII isn't still superior to the Definitive Edition, even after all these years Is there a solution to this, some mod or something that allows for offline LAN games to be played? As it is, I cannot even click on the Multiplayer button without an internet connection.Hi there, So the past couple of months me and 3 other friends have been playing AoE 2 DE pretty much constantly. We used to play AoE II back in the day when we were just kids. We are about 30 now and love how Age has come back alive. We noticed 1 thing however. The game does not give us an option to choose our starting positions. We tried changing our colors to match the ones on the map
It's 2019 now. This game should have the in-game voice chatting function. :) actually the fact that's it's 2019 and we have things like Steam Chat , TeamSpeak , and Discord that EVERYONE uses , unless it's a competetive multiplayer shooter I think most devs are opting to not put voice chat in their games.
